Beijing Book Fair – a social media round-up

Publishing Technology has been at the Beijing International Book Fair this week. For those who couldn’t make it to the show we’ve put together a round-up of the event to date using the news, links and content that people have been sharing on social media.

Princess Laurentian of the Netherlands, which was country of honour this year, generated lots of excitement for her visit to the first day of the show. And lots of delegates mentioned the new Chinese translations of Beatrix Potter’s Peter Rabbit books, which were unveiled at the show, and the prominent presence of Dutch artist, Dick Bruna’s Miffy as a fitting gesture, as 2011 is the Chinese year of the rabbit.
