For instance, Nielsen’s Peter Matthews’s claim that books with accurate metadata sold 40% more than their counterparts with incomplete data dominated Frankfurt’s social media headlines for most of the day. Meanwhile, Michael Bhaskar from Profile Books’ stark warning that publishers who didn’t invest in accurate metadata would see their books slip off the search engines struck many chords with listeners.
